Meet Our Head of Account Management: Carson Carby

When Carson Carby started at Creekmore Marketing in 2021, she worked in the office at our building in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was one of our account managers back then, and she quickly integrated into the team and helped refresh, renew, and shape the department into what it is today. These changes, plus her boundless energy, optimism, and commitment to excellent customer service, quickly helped her become our Head of Account Management.


As the account management leader, she met with the Creekmore Marketing Account Management team each Monday morning for their weekly brief and check-in. Some crowded around the narrow oak conference table while others checked in virtually through the online meeting platform, Microsoft Teams. 


The Account Management team meets each Monday to discuss their goals for the coming week. In these meetings, they review the successes and challenges faced by their clients and pool together their considerable collective resources to optimize their services for every client. 


With her signature broad smile and enthusiastic but professional look, she tells the team, “Every relationship has to start with honesty. We know that working with a marketing company can be a huge commitment.”

This commitment drives Carson forward in her role as Head of Account Management. Carson does a lot for Creekmore Marketing, including:


  • Managing Our Team of Account Managers: Our team of account managers are the voices and ears of Creekmore Marketing, and Carson ensures each person on her team gets the support they need every day.
  • Working Directly with Our Clients: Beyond managing her team of experts, Carson also has several clients she supports directly, allowing her to keep our relationships strong for years.
  • Facilitating Interdepartmental Communication: Carson also helps every department understand what clients need by communicating with our leadership team and each department that provides our services.

 

Carson’s biggest passions outside the office are travel and influencing others to live their best lives. She is an avid reader and fitness guru. Despite being a huge food lover, she cannot eat anything with gluten–though she does enjoy it when friends and colleagues share their favorite gluten-free snacks and recipes during office events and meetings.

Even before she worked with us at Creekmore Marketing, Carson was very successful. Carson spent years developing her customer service style, which she leverages to bring the best services to her clients at Creekmore Marketing. She also created successful social media channels to help inspire positivity, success, and personal happiness and share her passion for travel.

“Wins with our clients are so important, and seeing my team have those wins with their clients helps motivate me to keep pushing myself as a leader,” she says. Sharing the successes of clients is only part of Carson’s weekly duties. She also guides the success of the Account Management team. Carson tells the Account Management team, “We want clients to know they can come to us, share their goals…. Their success is our success.”

 

When it comes to measuring success, Carson believes that being an industry leader is important. She prioritizes factors like organization, clear communication, customer service/relationship skills, and being a strategist who keeps up with the latest industry trends.

 

Carson prides herself and the Account Management team at Creekmore Marketing on having a great working relationship and getting to know our clients personally: celebrating birthdays, graduations, and fun trips while also building the successes of their business.


During a regular workweek, each account manager spends their time collecting and analyzing data, scheduling, and leading client meetings, and working with the extended Creekmore Marketing Web Development, Content & SEO, Web Design, Branding, Pay-Per-Click, Impressions, and Social Media Marketing teams to enact each client’s content plan.

 

Carson recommends all of these services for her clients, keeping in mind the guiding concepts of open-mindedness and trust.

 

“But my favorite new service we offer is email marketing,” Carson admits. “I like trying new things and seeing new services. [With email marketing], you can get really personal and use it to highlight your business. It helps to retain old clients and build new relationships. Follow-up is so important; email marketing is a great way to do it because it keeps our clients’ brands at the top of their customers' inboxes.”

In 2023, Carson made a significant shift when she transitioned away from the office and state that she’d come to know so well. Along with her high school sweetheart and their beloved dog, Obi, Carson moved to sunny Florida, where she began to lead the Account Management team remotely–but the weekly check-in remains (mostly) the same.

 

In her three years at Creekmore Marketing, Carson has watched many changes across the digital marketing landscape. Moving forward, her goal for Account Management is to join monthly webinars with fellow leading marketing companies. As head of Account Management, she continues to work with the leadership team. She develops professional development opportunities for our Account Managers to serve our clients' businesses best and stay ahead of the curve.
